  • Day 1Arrival for the National Game Park's Adventure.

    Safari commencement – 6:00am A professional driver – guide from Hear Nature Safaris will pick you up from your desired point and start a scenic drive out of Kampala. Watch the city wake up as you cruise towards Uganda’s western countryside.

    • Uganda Equator Stopover (Kayabwe) – 8:00am (approx.) The Equator is one of the most iconic landmarks along the way to Lake Mburo, It marks the meeting point of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, offering a unique spot for creative photography as you pose with one foot in each half of the world.
    • A local guide will demonstrate the famous Equator water experiment showing how water spirals clockwise, anti-clockwise or straight down depending on its position relative to the line, a simple but fascinating way to explain the Coriolis effect. The area also offers a vibrant cultural blend with local artisans selling handcrafted souvenirs, fabrics and jewelry adding a touch of Ugandan heritage to the scientific and scenic experience. An optional coffee refill from nearby cafes or Restaurants then head to the park.
    • Arrival at Lake Mburo National Park – 12:00am (approx.) Upon arrival, guests are welcomed into the park. Unlike most parks in Uganda, Lake Mburo allows guided walking safaris, offering a rare chance to explore the wild on foot, accompanied by an armed ranger. This nature walk reveals a deeper connection to the environment, learn to identify animal tracks, droppings and native plants while watching for Zebras, bushbucks, Topi, elands and even giraffes grazing freely. The park is also a birding haven, home to over 300 bird species including the African finfoot and red-faced barbet. This quiet immersive experience brings guests face to face with Uganda’s hidden natural rhythms.
    • Lunch at the Lodge – 1:00pm After the walk, guests unwind with a hearty lunch at a scenic lodge/restaurant such as Rwakobo lodge or Mihingo Lodge, both known for stunning views over the savannah and often frequented by wildlife. Enjoy a Fresh meal in a peaceful, elevated setting perfect for relaxing and reflecting.
    • Boat Ride on Lake Mburo – 2:30pm In the afternoon, take a tranquil boat cruise across Lake Mburo itself. This water safari offers a new perspective of the park with up-close views of hippos, crocodiles and a dazzling variety of aquatic birds like the African fish eagle, Pied Kingfisher and Papyrus gonolek. The lake’s calm surface and shoreline vegetation create excellent opportunities for wildlife photography and quiet observation.
    • Evening Game Drive – 4:00pm As the heat fades, embark on a relaxed evening game drive the best time to catch animals when they’re most active. Drive through open grasslands, rocky outcrops and acacia woodlands as you search for Zebras, Impalas, Buffaloes, Waterbucks, Warthogs and if lucky the elusive Leopard. Lake Mburo is also the only Ugandan park with Impalas and it boasts one of the highest populations of plains Zebras. The landscape glows golden as the sun sets offering perfect lighting for your final photos of the day
