This 6-day tour starts with thrilling chimp tracking in the lush Kibale Forest, where you’ll have the opportunity to witness these primates in their natural habitat. Next, embark on an exciting safari in the northern and Ishasha sectors of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse wildlife including lions, elephants, and more. Safari Plans

  • Day 1Kibale National Park (Bigodi Swamp Walk)

    On arrival at the airport, you will find a representative of Hear Nature Safaris waiting to pick you. They will transfer you to the hotel for overnight.

    • 6:30 AM: Depart Kampala (5-6hr drive via Fort Portal) 12:30 PM: Lunch in Fort Portal town
    • 2:30 PM: Bigodi Swamp guided walk – spot primates & 138+ bird species
    • 6:00 PM: Check into lodge (e.g., Turaco Treetops/Kibale Forest Camp)
    • 7:30 PM: Dinner & overnight
  • Day 2Chimpanzee Tracking → Queen Elizabeth NP

    If you are thinking adrenaline rush then this is the perfect place for you. The journey to Jinja will include 2 major stops – first will be a visit to the Kibale Forest with an interesting cultural background.

    • Morning: After breakfast, participate in a thrilling chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale National Park. Spend time observing these fascinating primates in their natural environment.
    • Afternoon: After lunch, transfer to the northern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive in time for an evening game drive, where you may spot elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species.
    • Evening: Check in at your accommodation in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy dinner and share stories of the day’s adventures.
  • Day 3Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Morning: Start the day with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Look out for lions, leopards, and other wildlife as you explore the park.

    • Afternoon: After lunch, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This cruise offers excellent opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.
    • Evening: Transfer to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Check in at your accommodation and enjoy dinner.
  • Day 4 Full Day Game Drive in Ishasha Sector and Transfer to Bwindi

  • Day 5Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

  • Day 6 Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Kampala

    Morning: After breakfast, take some time to enjoy the serene environment of Lake Bunyonyi. You may opt for a canoe ride or simply relax by the water.

    • Afternoon: Begin your journey back to Kampala. Stop for lunch along the way and enjoy the scenic views.
    • Evening: Arrive in Kampala, concluding your unforgettable family safari in Uganda.

    REQUIRED VACCINATIONS: Yellow Fever (certificate required), COVID-19 recommended, Hepatitis A & B recommended, Typhoid recommended, CRITICAL RULES DURING TRACKING: 7m minimum distance (gorillas), No coughing/sneezing toward primates, Wearing masks is optional but encouraged, No access if actively sick.

  • Are there any age restrictions for gorilla trekking or chimpanzee tracking?

    Uganda Wildlife Authority sets strict age limits for primate activities: GORILLA TREKKING: Minimum age: 15 years, No upper age limit if physically fit, CHIMPANZEE TRACKING: Minimum age: 12 years, Children 12-15 require special permission

  • Are the cultural experiences suitable for children?

    Absolutely! Children particularly enjoy the interactive elements - dancing, drumming lessons, and sweet treats making. We adjust activities based on group composition, and villagers are exceptionally welcoming to young visitors.
